Theology of God: Nature of God

Have you ever heard someone in your life dismissively say, “Theology isn’t for me” or “I don’t think theology is important; we just need to love Jesus and love people”? Well, here’s the thing: far too many people see theology as an abstract academic discipline with no bearing on the day-to-day Christian life. And yet, Theology is inescapable. Every Christian is a theologian. Every Christian, by definition, knows God, thinks about God, and makes statements about God. In fact, the very word “theology” means a word (logos) about God (theos).Because the knowledge of God affects every area of life, and because our conception of God shapes our worldview, our values, our commitments, our affections, and our actions, there is no other area people can study that is more impactful in shaping the whole of who we are.Are you ready then, to be shaped, and impacted by four theological truths about the nature of God? Join up with a LIFEgroup this summer and see how what we think about God changes our lives in concrete and practical ways.
